I've really enjoyed the DS Mackinnon series. I'm looking forward to reading more. I have nothing negative at all to say. Enjoyable reading.
Good writing. Intricate, well-designed plot. Dark and gritty. Good character development. Builds well on back story of previous book. An enjoyable read.
A really good plot and believable in this day and age. I particularly like the fact that his stories stay on course and not sidetracked with an overload of violence, sex or women swooning all over the place.
Plot seems a little repetition of previous books, but still holds your interest until the end.

From her first book to this one, I have seen growth both in story and character. This book hit home close to family troubles, but gave a great ending. I'm also glad Jack is doing well with his new family. I'm ready for some real murder and teamwork to solve. Please help Charolette (sorry for the spelling.)
It was ok. About right for a car trip or train ride. This is book three and the first that I'd read, so perhaps I needed to have more backstory to understand the characters' personal behavior. He seemed somewhat wimpy half of the time. Not bad, just not really engaging for me. So I'll probably skip the remainder of the series.
